Like most people, I use a variety of browsers and devices. I have tried many solutions to manage my bookmarks, and have found a browser extension called OneTab that meets most of my needs.

OneTab

OneTab is a browser extension that closes all of your open tabs and saves those locations to a single saved tabs list.

Pros

  • Tab list can be exported and imported in other browsers.
  • List is easy to search.
  • Supports deduplication functionality when saving new tabs to the list.
  • Tab data is stored locally in browser session, not a 3rd party site.

Cons

  • No data sync between browsers.
  • Does not interact with the browser bookmark manager.
  • Sharing functionality will transmit tab data to one-tab.com to create a shareable link. This is a privacy concern, and this feature should be avoided.
  • Due to the ease of saving every open tab, the tab list can grow rapidly, reducing its usefulness if not properly groomed.
